The story behind Hotel GSH

The history of Hotel GSH dates back to 1966 when Carl Edvard Mogensen and his wife, Rose, foresaw that future hotel guests would want private bathrooms and toilets in their rooms. On a beautiful natural site on Strandvejen in Rønne, they built Hotel Ryttergården, which later evolved into Green Solution House in 2015, based on the latest research in sustainability. Rose and Carl Edvard were right in believing that sustainability is the future – even more so now than in 2015. Read more about the history of Hotel GSH here.

At Hotel GSH, we live sustainably, and we want our guests to be inspired by the comfortable, healthy and creative environment that surrounds them. The building and the landscape express a holistic approach to sustainable design, where green solutions, such as healthy indoor climates, renewable energy sources, active materials and circuit design, are highlighted.
