The story behind Hotel GSH

The history of Hotel GSH's dates back to 1966. Even then, the hotel was groundbreaking. Carl Edvard Mogensen and his wife, Rose, predicted that future hotel guests would want to have their own shower and toilet in their rooms. The competitors shook their heads at this initiative, but Rose and Carl Edvard built Hotel Ryttergården on a beautiful natural plot on Strandvejen in Rønne. Hotel Ryttergården continued to develop, but the big leap came in 2015, when the hotel was completely rebuilt and transformed into Green Solution House. The rebuild was based on the latest research in sustainability. It was well seen by Rose and Carl Edvard because sustainability is our all together future - and even more so than in 2015.

Green Solution House would not have been possible without our competent partners. It has taken an enormous amount of hard work, both from our strategic partners, advisors and funding partners, to succeed with this groundbreaking and sustainable hotel and conference center.

At Hotel GSH, we live sustainably, and we want our guests to be inspired by the comfortable, healthy and creative environment that surrounds them. The building and the landscape express a holistic approach to sustainable design, where green solutions, such as healthy indoor climates, renewable energy sources, active materials and circuit design, are highlighted.
